Golden Hour Chicago Surprise Proposal at Buckingham Fountain
Cam asked Kat to marry him during golden hour at The Buckingham Fountain in front of the Chicago skyline and their story does not disappoint. There are many moving parts and stress inducing planning that goes into a story that one must tell their soon to be fiance when they need to get them to the proposal location. Cam had that covered but what he wasn’t ready for was Kat’s determination to make a last minute plan to purchase furniture on Facebook Marketplace. Kat is a determined girl with an eye for a vintage find and she made plans to pick up the furniture when Cam was suppose to be proposing to her. Cam knew he had to intervene once Kat booked a Uhaul to go get her purchase. So Cam got on Facebook and reached out to the seller explaining the entire situation. He had sch a creative plan and asked the seller to pretend like he was calling off the sale ( when in reality Cam already made sure the purchase went through ) and begged the seller to hold onto the furniture until they could come get it the following day. The seller agreed and Cam’s plans for the proposal became a success story. Kat got a new ring and new furniture all in one day. These are the kinds of situations are what make for fun storytelling in the days and years ahead. Once Cam proposed we walked around Grant Park and took photos in the Rose Garden and met up with their friends waiting with flowers and Champagne. To my delight, Cam & Kat booked another more official engagement session this past spring and I will be blogging that very soon.
