Natalie & Ace’s Downtown Queer Chicago Engagement Session Celebrating Pride Month

Natalie and Ace were completely open to my location suggestions and wardrobe requests; as a result, the session was completely cohesive. We stopped at several locations to embrace the parts of the city that celebrate the pride flag that appears on street crosswalks ( read more about the crosswalks here ) and buildings illuminated with rainbow lights downtown. One of the reasons I love being a Chicagoan is because of the way the city embraces the diversity of culture, religion, sexuality and race. June is the month that queer pride is celebrated and Chicago businesses, churches, sports teams and countless other groups and organizations honor the LGBTQIA+ community. Organizations like The Cubs and The Chicago Park District host games, parades and History Tours that celebrate the past and present contributors that honor the trailblazers, performers and activists that dedicate their lives representing the community. One of my favorite events in the city to attend is the pride parade which is not only one of the oldest pride parades in history but one of the biggest, bringing in over 1 million spectators every year ( read more about the pride parade here )

It is very important to me as a Chicago Business Owner that I make sure to welcome all my couples to celebrate their love. I believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and celebrated for who they are. As a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am committed to creating a space where all identities are not only accepted but embraced with joy and dignity.

I believe that ALL love — in all its beauty, uniqueness, and authenticity — deserves to be captured with the care, respect, and celebration it deserves. Whether you’re LGBTQIA+, non-binary, polyamorous, or anywhere beautifully in between, my lens is here to honor your story exactly as it is: real, radiant, and unapologetically you.

I always provide a safe, affirming space. No assumptions. No judgment. Just a wholehearted commitment to capturing the connection, the joy, and the moments that matter most. My couples are seen, valued and celebrated. I consider myself very lucky that couples trust me with their stories.
