Patrick and Rachel had a beautiful late spring wedding that was modern, chic and flawless from start to finish. One can’t really ask for much more! These two are classy and stylish and that was reflected in many of the details of their wedding day. Saint Clement is a 99 yr old draw dropping Catholic Church that has to be by far one of the most impressive I have ever shot in. Like many churches it came with many rules but it was worth it as it provides such a dramatic scene that included just a few peeks of natural light that occasionally fell on Rachel & Patrick from time to time during the vows. The altar was almost about 75% in the round so that allowed me to get views behind and in front of the couple, as very few churches have this feature. Rachel added final touches to her chic look at The Ivy Hotel located downtown Chicago. The rooftop lounge provided a strong skyscraper view that added even more luxury to the feel of the day. Post ceremony the party continued at Salvatore’s in Lincoln Park where Patrick’s brothers gave some pretty memorable speeches that made me laugh until I was producing tears. We capped the night off with my signature drama shot right outside the doors of the Italian restaurant reception where the newlyweds danced the night away. I’m starting a new feature to my blogs and I’m going to highlight my favorite parts of the day ( see below ). I also want to say thank you Patrick and Rachel for trusting me with capturing your day, I’m so grateful that you chose me to enjoy your day side by side with you and your closest family members and friends.
