Kru & Rivati’s unforgettable proposal at the Lincoln Park Zoo Bridge in the Nature Boardwalk proves that sometimes, a little rain makes the moment even more meaningful.
This beautifully planned Chicago surprise proposal with family and friends turned into an emotional, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Inviting friends and family can definitely add some stress to planning a proposal and there’s always a risk someone may say something and accidentally ruin the surprise but if you think they can keep a secret, its definitely worth having them there to snap a video and help celebrate.
The rain started just as the proposal took place but this was not my first proposal so I knew to bring bucket umbrellas. The umbrellas came in really handy and always make for cute photos, especially that last night photo.
It was so touching to experience all of their friends and family there ready to surprise them when they jumped out and yelled their names. Their one friend even convinced a random park goer to play a special song on his portable speaker for them. That was such quick thinking on his part. We had to wait a bit for the rain to pass before we popped into the gorgeous spring flowers for some photos of just the couple.
