Matt & Myriam’s Surprise Proposal on The Museum Campus Lakefront

Matt & Myriam got engaged on the Museum Campus lakefront at The Adler Planetarium. It was a perfect summer night and the sun was setting exactly how every couple hopes it will. Myriam said yes and dropped to her knees to hug her new fiance ! The location of your proposal is very important. Matt found the Chicago Skyline to be the most picturesque backdrop for his vision. You might think, the skyline view is the same no matter where you choose to have your engagement session, but that is a myth. There are many amazing places along the lakefront in which you can get a unique view of the skyline. The following locations are the most popular in the city and there are many pros for each one.

  1. North Avenue Beach Pros: The skyline appears the largest at this location making the people look small and the buildings look big if taken with the correct lens. Here is an example proposal from this location.
  2. Milton Lee Olive Park Pros: This skyline location offers a walkout platform that no other place in the city offers. This location shows the buildings at the largest scale second to the North Avenue Beach Location. This location is the furthest to get to if you are on foot and does not have parking near by. Here is an example proposal from this location.
  3. Lincoln Park Zoo Nature Boardwalk Pros: This skyline view is surrounded by nature and trees giving a distant view but very effective when standing on the pond bridge. This location is the easiest to get to on foot and has dependable parking in the Fullerton lot for the Zoo. Here is an example proposal from this location.
  4. Museum Campus Pros: This skyline view is the longest of the city. If you are looking for a convenient storyline and enjoy the museums, this is a great location to conveniently find yourself at after a day at a museum. This location has great parking, but not always dependable. Here is an example proposal from this location.
  5. Montrose Harbor Pros: This skyline view is smaller than the previous 4 mentioned but its by far the most quiet spot depending on the day of the week. This location also offers harbor views and plenty of parking.
