We started Steve and Ashley’s engagement shoot in their neighborhood with a few shots with their English Bulldog names Zeus. What a ham he was. Mom and Dad had various adorable outfits for him to model and my favorite were the plaid antlers. Zeus is a huge part of their lives so it was only fitting that we include him in much of the shoot. Steve and Ashley were such troopers. It was the middle of the winter and was the eve of New Year’s Eve downtown. This past winter was the debut of Chitown Rising, which was the New Years celebration on the Chicago River. We made it through all the holiday traffic and tourists and it was completely worth it. We got some wonderful shots with the huge Chicago star that was practicing the big drop. It’s very rare to find a couple who is willing to do whatever they need to in order to get the cool perspectives. I also adored Ashley’s very glam gold glitter skirt. It swayed in the wind reflecting all the city lights off of it to make for even more glamorous feel along with those heels! We ended the shoot at The Chicago Theatre among the hustle and bustle of the city streets to showcase their engagement in marquee lights! These two lovelies are planning a New Years wedding for this coming year and I cannot wait to share that exciting day with them. They will definitely be ringing in the new year with a bang.
