Alex and Caitlin had an iconic Chicago wedding that took place at the one and only Cafe Brauer inside The Lincoln Park Zoo. Cafe Brauer has a rich history that began in 1908. It was originally a restaurant and then later became a field and Boat House. Eventually in 1987 it was purchased by The Lincoln Park Zoo and restored to its current state as an events ballroom. As you can see the architecture provides any wedding guest with a romantic experience. At night the room is lit by the globe sconces on the walls and gives a warm dreamy glow. As a wedding venue this space is legendary. Alex & Caitlin’s wedding was action packed with hot temps, thunder storms and a whole wedding party champagne sprayed celebration. Their portraits took place at the Peoples Gas Pavilion ( better known as The Honeycomb ) located just across the south pond. This is a very popular location for ANY kind of photo session at ANY time of the year. You can take portraits anywhere around the Nature Boardwalk and get skyline views. Cafe Brauer weddings truly have everything a Chicago bride and groom could ask for. I can’t wait for my next wedding at this insanely gorgeous location.
